1. Data controller

The data controller is Star2Com S.r.l. Unipersonale, with registered office at Via alle Vigne 16, 23823 Colico (LC), Italy, VAT No. IT 07666900969. Privacy-related requests may be sent to info@star2com.it.

2. Personal data processed

Through the website forms, we may collect first and last name, email address, company, telephone number, area of interest, message content and the technical information strictly necessary for the security and operation of the service. Users are asked not to include special-category or unnecessary personal data in their messages.

3. Purposes and legal bases

• Responding to requests and preparing proposals: taking steps at the request of the data subject prior to entering into a contract, Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.
• Administrative management, security and protection of rights: compliance with legal obligations and the legitimate interests of the controller, Article 6(1)(c) and (f) GDPR.
• Sending commercial updates: only with separate and optional consent, Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. Consent may be withdrawn at any time.

4. Provision of data

Fields marked as mandatory are required in order to respond to the request. Failure to provide them prevents submission of the form. Marketing consent is optional and refusal does not affect the possibility of receiving a response.

5. Processing methods and retention periods

Personal data are processed using appropriate organisational and technical measures and retained for the time required to manage the request. As a general rule, contacts that do not develop into contractual relationships are deleted or anonymised within 12 months of the last relevant contact, unless retention is required to protect legal rights or comply with legal obligations. Data used for commercial communications are processed until consent is withdrawn or the purpose ceases to apply.

6. Recipients and transfers

Personal data may be processed by authorised personnel and by technical providers required for the operation of the website, email and information systems, appointed as processors where required. Any transfer to countries outside the European Economic Area takes place only on the basis of an adequacy decision or safeguards provided for by the GDPR.

To protect our contact forms from spam and bots we use Cloudflare Turnstile, provided by Cloudflare, Inc. (United States), which processes the IP address and certain technical information about the browser for the sole purpose of telling people apart from automated systems. Visit statistics are collected with Matomo, installed on our own servers: the resulting data is not passed on to any third party.

7. Automated decision-making and artificial intelligence

Requests submitted through the website are not subject to solely automated decisions or profiling producing legal or similarly significant effects. Any artificial intelligence tools used for organisational or editorial support operate under human supervision.

8. Data subject rights

Data subjects may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection to processing, and may withdraw consent without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal. Requests may be sent to info@star2com.it. Data subjects may also lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority or the competent supervisory authority in their country.

9. Amendments

This policy may be updated following regulatory, technical or organisational changes. The version published on the website states the date of the latest update.
